HEARTSTART FR3 TRAINING PACK

DESCRIPTION AND USE

The 989803150191 FR3 Training Pack includes the FR3
training battery, a set of HeartStart Training Pads III, a
HeartStart Training Pads III interconnect cable, and an
external manikin adapter. These reusable, optional
accessories are designed for use with the HeartStart FR3

Defibrillator (FR3) for demonstration and training
applications. The lithium ion FR3 training battery is
rechargeable using the 861394 battery charger only.
Replacement training pads [REF: 989803150181] can be
ordered separately. The interconnect cable is intended for
indefinite reuse; a spare interconnect cable can be
ordered separately [REF: 989803150201].
Using the training battery and training pads with the FR3,
you can choose any of three pre-set emergency scenarios.
The training scenarios are available to trainers to
supplement physician-authorized training programs. The
training scenarios are not intended to teach basic
lifesaving skills. The scenarios are described in the table
on page 6.
For indications and instructions for using the FR3, refer to
the Guide to Setup, Operation, and Maintenance or the
Instructions for Administrators provided with the FR3.
NOTE: The training battery and pads cannot be used to
deliver defibrillation treatment. If the FR3 is needed for
patient treatment during a training session, disconnect
the training pads, remove the training battery, install
an FR3 clinical use battery, and connect a set of
HeartStart therapy pads.
* These instructions are specific to use of the FR3 training battery and
training pads with an FR3.
