FU4
Fuses for protecting module SZ2 against incorrect connection of the motor cables (0.2A).
The panel remains live even after intervention of the protection device which interrupts operation.
Disconnect the power before maintenance.
SZ2
Electronic module SZ2: automatic inversion of the starting order of the two pumps and running of one of
the two in the event of malfunction of the other (see paragraph 8.3).
14
Spare fuses for FU1 or FU2 (1A), and FU3 or FU4 (0.2A).
9.3
Set operation
9.3.1
Panel operation with electronic module SZ2 switched on (selector SA1 in position
)
The electronic module SZ2 prepares panel operation as follows:
− Automatic inversion of the starting order of the two electropumps at each start;
− Luminous indication of the state of the controls by means of a green led ref. LL1 (present on the module SZ2) as
follows:
System without dry alarm float connected to the terminals N (n°21-22):
LL1 with a fixed light when GP1 + GP2 = OFF (both electropumps stopped);
LL1 gives 1 impulse every second when GP1 = ON and GP2 = OFF (one electropump running);
LL1 gives a double impulse every second when GP1 + GP2 = ON (both electropumps running);
System with dry alarm float connected to the terminals N (n°21-22):
LL1 with a fixed light when the dry alarm float = ON and GP1 + GP2 = OFF (both electropumps stopped);
LL1 off when dry operation float = OFF and GP1 + GP2 =OFF or ON (both electropumps stopped).
LL1 gives 1 impulse every second when the dry alarm float = ON, GP1 = ON and GP2 = OFF (one
electropump running);
LL1 gives a double impulse every second when the dry alarm float = ON and GP1 + GP2 = ON (both
electropumps running
System with maximum level float connected to the terminals ref. R (n° 35-36): the operation is the same as that
indicated with the dry operation float.
Remember that, in both cases, when the Module SZ2 is switched on the starting order of the two pumps is
inverted at each start, so the identifications P1 and P2 are indicative.
9.3.2
Panel operation with electronic module SZ2 disconnected from the electric panel.
In the event of malfunction of the module SZ2, connect the connector XC1 to the connector XC2, keeping the
selectors SA1 and SA2 in position
The electropump start and stop commands are given directly by the two floats or thermostats.
Float GP1 directly controls electropump P1;
Float GP2 directly controls electropump P2.
IMPORTANT:
Panel operation as in points 8.3.2 – 8.3.3 limits set operation as follows:
-
The float cables must not be more than 10m long.
-
The function of the minimum level float is excluded.
-
Any repeated starts will no longer be controlled.
-
Where there are consents of the terminals K-K for thermal protection of the electropumps, these protections will be
excluded.
It is advisable to substitute the module SZ2 after a short time.
9.4
Electrical connections
9.4.1
Before connecting the power cables to terminals L1 - L2 - L3 on the insulating switch, ensure that the
main switch on the power distribution panel is in OFF position (O), and that no one can switch on the
power accidentally.
9.4.2
Scrupulously observe all the regulations in force concerning safety and accident prevention.
9.4.3
Ensure that all the terminals are fully tightened, paying particular attention to the earth
terminal.
9.4.4
Connect the cables to the terminal board as indicated in the wiring diagrams given in the enclosed
booklet.
9.4.5
Check that all the connecting cables are in excellent condition, with the external sheathing unbroken.
9.4.6
Check that the differential switch that protects the system is of the right
size.
Provide automatic protection of the supply line against short circuits by
means of ACR fuses type "gG" according to the following table:
