Connection of motor thermal protector.
ATTENTION! For pumps with KK thermal protector, please remove the
connector for KK clamps of the control panel and connect them with
protection cables which are present on the pump cable (pag. 118).
FU1
Fuse for protecting the transformer TC1 against short-circuits of the primary circuit and of its supply line (1A).
Intervention inhibits all the panel functions except the alarm float (if there is
one connected to the P terminals) and the respective remote alarm (connected
to the Q terminals)
FU3
Fuse for protecting the transformer against incorrect connection of the motor cables (0.2A).
The panel remains live even after intervention of the protection device which interrupts operation.
Disconnect the power before maintenance.
FU4
Fuse for protecting module SZ2 against incorrect connection of the motor cables (0.2A).
The panel remains live even after intervention of the protection device which interrupts operation.
Disconnect the power before maintenance.
SZ2
Electronic module SZ2: automatic inversion of the starting order of the two pumps and running of one of the
two in the event of malfunction of the other (see paragraph 8.3).
14
Spare fuses for FU1 (1A) and FU3 or FU4 (0.2A).
8.3
Set operation
8.3.1
Panel operation with electronic module SZ2 switched on (selector SA1 in position
)
The electronic module SZ2 prepares panel operation as follows:
− Automatic inversion of the starting order of the two electropumps at each start;
− Luminous indication of the state of the controls by means of a green led ref. LL1 (present on the module SZ2) as follows:
System without dry alarm float connected to the terminals N (n°21-22):
LL1 with a fixed light when GP1 + GP2 = OFF (both electropumps stopped);
LL1 gives 1 impulse every second when GP1 = ON and GP2 = OFF (one electropump running);
LL1 gives a double impulse every second when GP1 + GP2 = ON (both electropumps running);
System with dry alarm float connected to the terminals N (n°21-22):
LL1 with a fixed light when the dry alarm float = ON and GP1 + GP2 = OFF (both electropumps stopped);
LL1 with a flashing light when the dry alarm float = OFF e GP1 + GP2 = OFF or ON (both electropumps stopped);
LL1 gives 1 impulse every second when the dry alarm float = ON, GP1 = ON and GP2 = OFF (one electropump running);
LL1 gives a double impulse every second when the dry alarm float = ON and GP1 + GP2 = ON
(both electropumps running
Remember that, in both cases, when the Module SZ2 is switched on the starting order of the two pumps is
inverted at each start, so the identifications P1 and P2 are indicative.
8.3.2
Panel operation with electronic module SZ2 excluded (selector SA1 in position
)
The electropump start and stop commands are given directly by the two floats or thermostats:
Float GP1 directly controls electropump P1;
Float GP2 directly controls electropump P2.
The indications of the led LL1 (present on the module SZ2) repeat the indications given in point 8.3.1.
8.3.3
Panel operation with electronic module SZ2 disconnected from the electric panel.
Connect the connector XC1 to the connector XC2, keeping the selector SA1 in position
The start and stop commands are given directly by the two floats GP1 and GP2 as indicated in point 8.3.2.
IMPORTANT:
Panel operation as in points 8.3.2 – 8.3.3 limits set operation as follows:
- The float cables must not be more than 10m long.
- The function of the minimum level float is excluded.
- Any repeated starts will no longer be controlled.
