-Where there are consents of the terminals K-K for thermal protection of the electropumps, these protections will be
excluded.
It is advisable to substitute the module SZ2 after a short time.
8.4
Electrical connections
8.4.1
Before connecting the power cables to terminals L1-N on the insulating switch QS1, ensure that the main switch on
the power distribution panel is in OFF position (O), and that no one can switch on the power accidentally.
8.4.2
Scrupulously observe all the regulations in force concerning safety and accident prevention.
8.4.3
Ensure that all the terminals are fully tightened, paying particular attention to the earth terminal.
8.4.4
Connect the cables to the terminal board as indicated in the wiring diagrams given in the enclosed booklet.
8.4.5
Check that all the connecting cables are in excellent condition, with the external sheathing unbroken.
Check that the differential switch that protects the system is of the right size.
8.4.6
Provide automatic protection of the supply line against short circuits by means of the Curve C 25A
Automatic Switch for panel type E2D 2,6 M and 32A for panel type E2D 6 M - E2D 6 M HS.
The apparatus must be correctly and safely earthed as required by the regulations
8.4.7
in force.
8.4.8
Depending on the type of installation, limit the maximum length of the power cable as follows:
Panel model
E2D 2,6 M
E2D 6 M
E2D 6 M HS
8.4.9
Instrumental checks to be carried out by the installer:
a)
continuity of the protection leads and of the main and supplementary equipotential circuits;
b)
insulation resistance of the electric system;
c)
test efficiency of the differential protection;;
d)
test the applied voltage;
e)
test operation as indicated in points 8.5, 8.6, 8.7.
8.5
Supplying power to the control panel
After having correctly performed the steps described above, close the inner door of the panel, tightening the four screws
provided, turn the magnetothermal switches ref. QM1 and QM2 to position 0 and the switch ref.. SA1 to position
. Supply power to the control unit, switching on the main switch on the distribution panel. Turn on the
isolating switch ref.. QS1. The electropumps are not fed.
8.6
Starting the set
1.
Ensure that the external controls (floats or thermostats) are turned OFF (control excluded).
2.
Turn the selector ref. SB1 to MAN position. The electropump P1 is fed as long as the manual impulse lasts. Repeat
the operation with selector ref. SB2. The electropump P2 is fed as long as the manual impulse lasts.
− For systems with two floats; following the indications in fig. On page 117 the start command for pump P1 is
given by the float B, connected to the terminals 3-4, and the start command for pump P2 is given by the float C,
connected to the terminals 5-6. The stop command for both pumps is given by the float B in minimum position.
− For systems with three floats; following the indications in fig. On page 117 the start command for pump P1 is
given by the float B, connected to the terminals 3-4, and the start command for pump P2 is given by the float C,
connected to the terminals 5-6. The stop command is given by the float A, connected to the terminals 1-2, which
acts as a minimum level float for both pumps.
− If there is a float N against dry operation, connected to terminals 21-22, in both types of system it blocks
operation of the electropumps.
3.
Check the above even with the selector ref. SA1 in position
not inverted.
Avoid starting the system, turning the isolating switch (ref. QS1) with both switches
ref. QM1 and QM2 in position I.
8.7
Set protection system (if provided)
1.
The protection is obtained by means of a dry operation float connected to the terminals ref. N (n° 21-22) and/or by
means of a maximum level float connected to the terminals ref. R (n° 35-36).
2.
To check for correct operation, simulate the intervention of the dry operation or maximum level float. The control
panel must stop the electropumps and the LED LL1 of the SZ2 module must go out.
8.8
Alarm system
1.
Check correct operation of the alarm float connected to the terminals ref. P (n°25-26).
