SAFETY MEASURES
2.4
Driving
1.
Observe the admissible axle load and total weight.
2.
The driving parameters of the combine depend, for instance, on the quality of the road as well as on the parts connected.
Thus, adjust your way of driving to current surface and road conditions. Be especially careful during work and when turning
the machine around on a slope. On slopes, never put the machine in neutral!
3.
Before starting to drive and before starting any work, adjust the mirrors in such a manner that you can see the road and the
work surface behind the machine.
2.5
Towed units (grain header) and other elements
1.
Only carry out work underneath lifted work equipment (cutting table and other equipment) in the secured position.
2.
Be especially careful during the installation of the work equipment (cutter and other equipment) and when connecting
trailers.
3.
The grain header, the auger, the winder etc. cannot be secured completely; therefore, keep the corresponding safety
distance to the moving parts during work.
2.6
Maintenance
1.
Any repair, maintenance and cleaning work as well as troubleshooting may only be carried out when the drive and the
motor are switched off – remove the ignition key!
2.
Liquids leaking under high pressure (hydraulic oil) may penetrate the skin and cause serious injuries that are not visible
from outside! In case of injury, immediately seek medical help in a hospital! Danger of infection!
3.
Dispose of replaced resources, such as waste oil, in accordance with the applicable regulations!
4.
The repair work of the hydraulic installation may only be carried out by specialised workshops.
2.7
Safety supports
Procedure:
Lift the inclined conveyor completely.
Release the safety lock (S) from the lock (R) and lower onto the piston rod!
Figure 2
After completing the work:
Lift the safety supports (S) of the inclined conveyor amplifier and fit them in the grips (R).
Safety locks of the winder
Before any work on the lifted grain header, the lifted winder must be secured on both sides by using the safety locks (S) to the
piston rods.
DANGER!
Only carry out work underneath the grain header and/or inclined conveyor with firm support!
