Operation and Installation Manual
Manually trigger the independent secondary brake on the
personnel lifting equipment.
Shut off the operator-side compressed air supply.
Observe the operator's emergency rescue plan.
Remove the supply hose on the hoist.
Have the hoist inspected and serviced by a authorized ser-
vice personnel, see ' 15.1 Authorized maintenance person-
nel' on page 16.
10.3 Emergency descent
The load lifting equipment can be lowered manually in the event
of a compressed air failure.
Risk of falling! Danger of being injured by falling objects!
The brake cannot brake the load if overloaded!
In the event of overloading, never open the service brake
(spring-applied brake) manually.
See Fig. 17 on page XII.
The motor's braking effect prevents rope speeds that are too high
when lowering manually.
For an emergency descent with low loads, increase the weight
using ballast and / or carefully pulling on the rope.
Lift and hold the lever (1). The load is lowered.
Let go of the lever to brake.
10.4 Switching off when overloaded
When delivered, the load limiting device has been set in such a
way that it deactivates the hoist at the latest once the load
reaches 1.25 times the load bearing capacity.
Jamming of the load lifting equipment may also lead to deactiva-
tion.
When overloaded:
Lower or release the hoist until the load has reached the
ground.
Reduce the load until no overload is present.
When jammed:
Lower or release the hoist until the load hangs freely again.
Remove the obstacle before lifting the load again.

Operation with control valves which do not automatically re-
turn to the neutral position (dead man's control) or are de-
fective
Operation without a ball valve for shutting off the com-
pressed air supply in an emergency
Operation with the wrong working pressure
Thawing frozen components with an open flame
Operating with a soiled rope
Operation without a limit switch (end valve)
Operation without a silencer
Operation with compressed air which does not meet the re-
quired compressed air quality
Operation with gases other than compressed air
Operation without a lubricator or without oil in the lubricator
Failure to adhere to the stipulated maintenance periods
Cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner
Incorrect hoist installation, commissioning, operation, main-
tenance or repairs
Poor monitoring of the part and the accessories that are
subjected to wear
Carrying out of incorrect and unauthorized repairs
Use of non-original spare parts
Alteration of safety device settings
Neglecting measurements and checks to detect early signs
of damage
Overloading the hoist
Loading the unloaded side of the hoist with more than 100
kg (e.g. via the rope pretensioning)
Directly striking the load against the towing rope or suspen-
sion cable
A catastrophe caused by foreign bodies or force majeure
The manufacturer will not accept any liability for damages
resulting from modifications and conversions made to the
