 For the determination of phase conductors
and phase sequence by using the accessible
electrode, the perceptibility of the display
may be impaired, e.g. when using protection
means against direct contact, in unfavourable
locations, for example on wooden ladders or
insulating floor coverings, as well as in
unfavourable lighting conditions and in an
improperly, grounded a.c. voltage system.
 The voltage tester may only be stripped by
authorised personnel.
 Voltage testers must be clean and dry.
3. Putting into operation
3.1 Battery
Your instrument is already supplied with a 9 V flat
cell battery in accordance with IEC 6 F 22 or 6 LR 61.
The battery status is displayed by a battery indicator
on the display, see chapter 7.1.
Attention!
Please observe chapter 7.1 before initial startup
or after your device has been in storage for a long
period of time.

3.2 Function test

Press and hold button
up on the display, additionally 5 LEDs light up and
you can hear a buzzer sound.
Release button
indicated on the display.
Now press the button Ω/V, OL and MΩ appears on
the display.
Short-circuit the two test electrodes. A value within
a range of 00.0 to 00.2 kΩ appears on the display.
An acoustic signal is generated at the same time,
and the green LED „Ω" lights up. All device functions
have now been tested.
Note! Zero balancing for the resistant measuring
range can be calibrated. See chapter 4.4.
Attention!
If indication of one or several systems fails during
selftest – even if only partial failure occurs – or if no
display appears that indicates that the instrument is
ready for use, the voltage tester may not be placed
into operation!
4 Measuring and testing

4.1 General information

The voltage tester is switched on automatically
as soon as a voltage of at least 8 V is applied. The
instrument is switched off automatically approx-
imately 30 seconds after the last measurement in
order to extend battery life.
„OL" (out of limit) is displayed if the measuring range
is exceeded.
Attention!
During tests at power converters parasitic coupling
can cause false indication on the LCD. The voltage
indication on the LEDs stays unaffected thereof.
4.2 Testing voltage and polarity
Attention!
The maximum allowable on-period for voltage
testing is 2 minutes.
