leakage sensor still detects still water in the ap-
pliance or in the drip tray. Disconnect the wa-
ter dispenser from the mains for 10 seconds
and reconnect it. If the problem persists, dis-
connect the water dispenser from the mains
and contact a service technician.
8.

MAINTENANCE AND HYGIENE

8.1 CONTROL AND RESPONSIBILITY BY
THE OPERATOR
For perfect hygiene, the BWT AQA drink water
dispenser should be maintained weekly by a
responsible and trained person. Depending on
the intensity of use as well as the place of in-
stallation, a shorter hygiene interval may be
necessary. For your own safety and that of your
customers, we recommend that you document
the maintenance and hygiene work performed
on a control sheet.
Note! Wear hygienic gloves during
cleaning. If any damage or leakage
is detected during cleaning, im-
mediately shut off the water supply, discon-
nect from the mains and call a service tech-
nician.
Do not use a water jet to clean the device.
Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
8.2 OPERATING BREAKS.
In the event of longer breaks in operation,
close the shut-off valve in the water dispenser
inlet and disconnect the device from the pow-
er supply (pull out the mains plug). After breaks
in operation rinse the water dispenser with 2–3
liters of water before using it again. If the water
dispenser is not in use for more than two
weeks, it must be sanitized by a by a mainte-
nance technician ("8. Maintenance and hyM -
giene" on page 33). When using BWT filters,
the instructions in the respective installation
and operating manuals must also be observed.
8.3

MAINTENANCE INTERVAL

The maintenance interval depends on the wa-
ter quantity/water quality used (note filter ca-
pacity) and the ambient conditions. We recom-
mend that the water dispenser be cleaned and
disinfected at least once a year and that the
water filter used be replaced by qualified per-
sonnel.
There are two cleaning agents for weekly
cleaning:
Disinfection spray
Application: Spray undiluted onto the surface
to be disinfected, allow to act for 5 minutes, no
rinsing necessary.
Descaler spray
1 For the removal of lime stains.
Spray the large surfaces as well as
the drip tray and grille of the
AQUAdrink devices well with the
descaling spray.
2 After approx. 30 sec. carefully wipe
the surfaces with the hygiene
cloth. Remove one cup of cold wa-
ter and discard.
Procedure
» We recommend wearing hygienic gloves
during cleaning.
» Remove, empty and clean the water collec-
tion tray and grille.
» Remove limescale stains from the surface of
the unit using the descaling spray and then
clean and disinfect with the disinfection
spray.
» Spray the cover symbols, dispenser nozzle
and water dispensing area with the disin-
fectant spray, allow to act for one minute
and then wipe off.
» Reconnect the unit electrically and check
for correct operation.
» If any damage or leakage is detected, im-
mediately shut off the water supply and call
for service.
