Diagnosing malfunctions

Maintenance and repair may only be carried out by trained and approved
specialists. Agree a maintenance contract that includes inspecting and
servicing the surface cleaner.
Is the pump pre-filter filled with water?
Is the suction pipe leakproof?
Is the water level in the pool OK?
Are the screen baskets dirty?
Is the cover of the primary screen closed?
Is the backflow preventer working?
Are the shut-off valves in the pressure and suction lines open?
Is the filter backwashed?
Are the system shut-off valves fully open?
Have the screen baskets been cleaned?
Is the direction of rotation of the pump correct?
Is the piping the correct size?
Is the suction pipe leakproof?
Is the suction height too high?
Is the direction of rotation of the pump correct?
Have the screen baskets been cleaned?
Are pipelines braced?
Is there power to the pump?
Are the fuses OK?
Can the pump move freely?
Has the motor circuit breaker tripped?
During start-up, water may leak out drop by drop until the
mechanical seal is fully functional after a few hours of operation.
If water constantly leaks out at this point, the mechanical seal
is defective.
Is the grain size correct?
Is the backwash valve in order?
Is the nozzle cross in the filter tank damaged?
Is the vent pipe broken?
Has the clear rinse been done?
