6.3 Clean the pump's primary screen
The primary screen must be regularly checked for contamination.
Contamination significantly reduces the pump performance.
•
Switch off filter system.
•
Close the shut-off valves in the pressure and suction pipe.
•
Select valve function "Closed".
•
Open the primary screen lid and remove the primary screen.
•
Remove coarse dirt from the screen.
•
Clean the screen under running water with a brush.
•
Reinsert the screen and close the lid. Make sure the lid sits correctly.
•
Select valve function "Filter".
•
Open the shut-off valves in the pressure and suction pipe.
•
Switch on the system.
•
Completely vent the filter tank at the vent valve.
6.4 Storing the filter system over winter
It is possible to store the heat exchanger over winter without frost damage if the following steps are taken:
•
Backwash the filter system.
•
Switch off the system.
•
Turn off the fresh water supply.
•
Drain all pipes (including the fresh water supply pipe from shower and level control).
•
Open the vent valve on the filter tank.
•
Empty the filter tank via the drain plug.
•
Completely empty all water-bearing parts.
•
Drain the pump and primary screen by unscrewing the drain plug.
•
Open the filter tank and leave it open until restarting.
•
Clean the primary screen.
•
Add overwintering agent to the water to prevent
the growth of algae and make spring cleaning easier.
•
Check that all units are disconnected from the power supply.
NOTE
The pump may be damaged!
