Care and cleaning

Care and cleaning
!
Cleaning the appliance
Always keep all parts of the appliance clean and remove any
dirt immediately if possible.
• Always allow the appliance to cool down and disconnect
the power supply before cleaning to avoid danger.
!
• Steam cleaners must not be used to clean any parts of
the unit. Risk of short circuit!
• Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents, scouring pads
or pointed/sharp objects for cleaning.
• Always remove sugar-containing food residues immedi-
ately and, if possible, while the appliance is still hot to
avoid permanent soiling or damage to the enamel of the
cooking chamber.
Protect yourself from burns!
Appliance front
• For cleaning and care of the front surfaces, please use only
commercially available cleaning agents according to the
manufacturer's instructions.
• Stainless steel surfaces can be cleaned and dried with mild
detergents (e.g. washing-up liquid) and a soft cloth.
• Aggressive cleaning agents (e.g. vinegar cleaner), scouring
agents, abrasive granulate and sharp objects damage the
surface of the appliance!

Oven door

• To facilitate cleaning, you can remove the oven door from
the oven. See corresponding chapter.
• Use kitchen paper or a damp cloth / sponge and standard
cleaning agents to remove stains.
• Do not use irritating or corrosive cleaning agents,
rough or abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers
to clean the glass of the oven door.
This may cause damage and breakage of the glass.

Oven interior

• The oven is easier to clean when it is still lukewarm but no
longer hot.
• For cleaning, remove all removable parts and possibly the
oven door as described hereafter.
• Remove simple grease splashes with rinse water.
• For stubborn or heavy soiling, you can use standard oven
cleaner. Then clean thoroughly with clear water
so that all cleaning agents are removed completely.
• When using oven sprays, it is essential to observe the
manufacturer's instructions. Painted, anodised or galva-
nised surfaces, aluminium parts, heating elements and
seals must not come into contact with these sprays due to
possible damage and colour changes.
Note: After using the special cleaner, heat the oven to
maximum temperature for 15-20 minutes to remove any
residues in the oven.
• Clean accessories such as baking tray, grease pan, cooking
grate, etc. with hot water and a little detergent.

Catalytic plates

This appliance is equipped with catalytic plates which
are galvanized with a powder coating.
These catalysis allows a self-cleaning at conventional
baking temperatures.
These plates can also be removed and wiped with a dry
cloth.
Dampfreinigungs-Verfahren
This function facilitates the oven cleaning essentially,
because the dirt can be solved more easily by water vapor
and heat.
• Remove the accessories such as roasting pan, baking tray
and rust.
• Pour down about 0.4 liters of water with a little detergent
into the trough of the cooking chamber floor.
• Close the oven. Select bottom heat heating at 60°C.
• Switch off the unit after about 30 minutes and disconnect
the power.
• Now you can remove soaked food debris easily with a
cloth. For baked-on soils, note the previous cleaning inst-
ructions.
