Troubleshooting
Problem
Some pans or pots
make crackling or

Possible cause
This may be caused
by the construction of
your cookware (layers
of different metals
vibrating differently).
This can be caused by
induction technology.
A cooling fan integ-
rated in the hob pre-
vents the electronics
from overheating.
If necessary, it conti-
nues to run even after
the hob is switched
off.
Metal abrasion or
other soiling may ap-
pear like scratches.
Unsuitable cookware
is used.
Unsuitable cleaning
agents or utensils are
used.

power supply system
What to do
The metal layers of the cookware
vibrate differently when heated.
This is harmless and normal.
This is normal, but the noise should
quieten down or disappear complete-
ly by reducing the power level.
This is normal and necessary for error-
free operation.
Do not disconnect the appliance from
the power supply while the fan is
running.
Glass ceramic is more abrasion
resistant than steel. Abrasion marks
caused by this do not represent
damage and can be removed with an
appropriate cleaning agent.
Use cookware with a clean, even
and smooth bottom (see chapter on
cookware).
Only use cleaning agents and uten-
sils suitable for glass surfaces (see
cleaning chapter).
Disconnect the hob from the power
supply for about 20 minutes (switch
off the fuse) and then switch it on
again.
