12.7 Controlling the vehicle

Place the ready-to-ride vehicle on the ground. Do not reach into the motor or hold the vehicle by the wheels.
Operate the drive function control lever on the transmitter very carefully until you become familiar with the
vehicle's response to the controls. Do not move the transmitter controls quickly or jerkily.
If the vehicle shows a tendency to move to one side, adjust the steering trim on the transmitter accordingly.
1. Release the throttle/brake lever (neutral position); the vehicle coasts to a stop or does not move.
2. Slowly pull the throttle/brake lever towards the handle to make the vehicle move forwards.
3. Move the throttle/brake lever away from the handle without a pause to make the vehicle move forwards and brake
(the vehicle decelerates quickly rather than coming slowly to a standstill).
4. Move forwards, brake and then drive in reverse: Push the throttle/brake lever away from the handle (braking) with-
out pausing; if the vehicle remains stationary, move the throttle/brake lever to the neutral position briefly (approx.
1 second), then push the throttle/brake lever away from the handle (vehicle will now reverse)
