5. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The engine via a belt connection turns the cutting mass used for cutting, shredding and
reducing the material to be processed. The material to be processed introduced into the
hopper falls towards the cutting mass and passes first through the cutting of the 2 knives and
then through the hammers, which defibrate and reduce the volume of the material introduced.
In particular, the hammers work in combination with counter-knives located at the periphery of
the cutting chamber, contributing to the refining of the output material. This in combination
with the shape of the cutting chamber formed by 2 nut-shaped pressed sheet metal shells
favours the creation of air flow, contributing to the optimal processing of the material without
clogging.

6. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

The BIOCH-50 Series Shredder, like all other machines, requires a learning period on the part
of the operator in which special attention must be paid to both use and safety.
Finally, correct material insertion is indispensable for satisfactory use of the machine.
The following are tips on how best to use the Shredder:
1) Do not insert excessively moist or resinous material all at once, this could block the cutting
mass and lead to the engine shutting down.
If possible, alternate wet and dry material to aid discharge.
2) Do not insert excessively hard material.
This could lead to damage to the knives and an overload for the engine.
3) Do not insert excessively leafy pruning material; if necessary, thin out branches so as not to
overload the machine.
4) NEVER insert material containing nails, staples, pieces of wire, dirt and stones, etc. This
could lead to damage to the knives and an overload for the engine.
5) In the event of an overloading of the cutting mass and a consequent drop in engine speed,
give the machine time to unload and the engine time to resume full speed before inserting
more material.
6) If abnormal vibrations are noticed following the insertion of resinous or very wet material,
switch off the engine, wait for it to come to a complete stop, disconnect the spark plug
cable and check that the cutting mass is not clogged and that the discharge bend is clear.

7. CONTENTS OF THE BOX

To reduce packaging space required, some components of the Shredder are disassembled and
are located inside the box.
When you open the box, these components must be inside:
-
BIOCH-50 Series Shredder
-
Shredder use and maintenance manual (this manual)
-
Engine use and maintenance manual (depending on version).
-
Hopper with fixing screws.
BEFORE ANY TYPE OF OPERATION, THE HOPPER MUST BE INSTALLED.
