Connect the compatible connecting cable to the catheter while observing the connection polarity. Do
not use force when connecting the plug as this could damage the contacts. Connect the cable to the
connector socket labelled "Catheter Extension Connector" on the front of the generator. For
information on connecting to compatible magnetic tracking systems, please refer to the cable's user
manual.
Switch on the generator and the pump. Information on the operation, installation and communication
of both devices can be found in the HF generator's user manual.

Temperature
Before selecting the ablation parameters on the generator, ensure that the indifferent electrode is
correctly attached to the patient.
Select 20 watts as the initial power.
Select 40°C as the initial temperature.
Ensure that the catheter tip is in the neutral (straightened) position before insertion. For easier
insertion, you can use an introducer sheath with a minimum diameter of 8.5F. To prevent irrigation line
occlusion, the catheter must be irrigated continuously while it is in the vascular system. Continue with
irrigation until the catheter has been removed from the body.
Connect the catheter to the compatible catheter positioning and navigation systems using a compatible
cable. For information on the use of catheter positioning and navigation systems in conjunction with
this device, refer to the relevant instructions for use.
Under consideration of the aseptic rules, access a large central blood vessel through which you can
insert the catheter.
→ The catheter should be inserted through a peripheral vessel and its position monitored under
fluoroscopic imaging.
→ The distal catheter tip is deflected using the control elements on the handle. In the unidirectional
catheter, the curvature is set by feeding and retracting the curvature control element. In the
bidirectional catheter, the curvature is set by turning the curvature control element. Do not pull on the
luer connection.
Observe the impedance display of the HF generator before, during and after HF ablation. If the
impedance suddenly increases during HF ablation without exceeding the preset limit, HF ablation must
