5.2.2.6 Fuel System

The Geko electric power generator units are serially equipped with fuel tanks which simultaneously serve as
the basic frame of the electric power generator unit.
If it is necessary to have a larger stock of fuel for longer operation period without fuel replenishment it is
possible to install an external fuel tank using special brackets. The tank is connected with the electric power
generator unit with the following pipelines:
– Main line of fuel supply to the engine fuel pump.
– Return fuel line from the fuel pump and injectors.
An additional cock may be installed in the electric power generator unit for switching between fuel tanks. In
the left position of the switch (Fuel Tank 1) the electric power generator unit is fed from the built-in fuel tank.

In the right position of the switch (Fuel Tank 2) the electric power generator unit is fed from the external fuel
tank.
The data for the determination of the fuel pipe diameters is shown in the corresponding specifications
(assembly drawing).
In any case the minimum cross-section of fuel lines is as follows:
– main feeder line 10 x 1 mm
– return line 10 x 1 mm
These instructions refer to the total length of the fuel system up to 5 m.
