the chuck and spindle. The chuck will pitch
if perfect alignment is not achieved. Clean
the conical hole in the chuck with a clean
cloth moistened with solvent if it is dirty.
•
Put the chuck (15) on the spindle (N).
•
Turn the chuck sleeve (seen from above)
to open the jaws on the chuck.
•
Place a wooden block on the table and
lower the spindle so that the chuck
presses against it. Press the chuck firmly
against the wooden block so that it sits
firmly on the spindle.

HINGED CHIP GUARD
1.
Undo the three screws (P + P1).
2.
Push the transparent cover (3) in the slot
in the red holder frame (R) and tighten
with the screws (P + P1).
3.
The height of the cover (3a) is steplessly
adjustable. The cover is locked in place
with the screws (3b) and finger grips.
4.
The chip guard (15) folds up when
replacing drills.

NOTE:
Check before starting the machine that the
chip guard (15) is back in place.
Mounting the column drilling
machine on a work bench
The column drilling machine must be mounted
securely to a stable surface before it can be
used. The base plate has two attachment
holes (16) for this purpose. Mount the column
drilling machine where it is fully accessible,
both the use it, adjust and maintain.
NOTE:
Do not overtighten the screws, this can
deform the base plate Excessive torque can
also cause the base plate to crack.
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
•
Check that the mains voltage corresponds
to the rated voltage on the type plate.
•
Connect the product to an earthed power
point.
•
The product has a power failure trigger to
protect it from starting when the mains
supply returns after a power cut.
The product will not start before its
power switch is first switched off and
then switched on.
PREPARING THE LASER
1.
Open the battery compartment by
pressing the catches on the top and
bottom of the power switch. Pull the
switch straight out from the tool.
2.
Insert two batteries in the battery
compartment. Check the correct polarity.
3.
Press the switch into the battery
compartment.

correctly adjusted from the factory. Do
NOT change any settings.

Normal wear and tear can, however, in
time require some adjustments to be
made.
•
Unplug the plug from the power point
