When configuring the supply line (cross
section and cable type), give due consider-
ation to the following local conditions:
n Type of installation
n Line length
u Route the supply line and the control / data line,
if applicable, to the desired location.
The products must be connected to a central router
or switch via an Ethernet cable (max. length 100 m)
in order to connect several products to form a net-
work. The wiring must be carried out in star topo-
logy.
Installation options
n On a wall
n On the stainless steel column from MENNEKES
n On the concrete column from MENNEKES
n On the pole from MENNEKES
Wall mounting - surface-mounted installation:
For surface-mounted installation with the cable
entry from below, the pre-punched opening for the
supply line / cable duct must be cut out of the up-
per part of the housing.
Wall-mounting - concealed installation:
For concealed installation, the position of the sup-
ply line must be arranged using the drilling tem-
plate provided or according to the illustration
"Drilling dimensions [mm]".
Installation on a stainless steel column, concrete
column or pole:
These are available as accessories from MEN-
NEKES.

5.2.2 Protective devices

The tasks described in this section may only
be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The following conditions must be met when in-
stalling the protective devices in the upstream elec-
trical installation:
Residual current circuit breaker
n National regulations must be observed
(e.g. IEC 60364‑7‑722 (in Germany DIN
VDE 0100‑722)).
n A differential current sensor for DC resid-
ual current monitoring > 6 mA with trip-
ping characteristics in accordance with
IEC 62752 is integrated in the product.
n The product must be protected by a type
B residual current circuit breaker if it is
subject to the scope of IEC
60364-7-722:2018.
n The product must be protected by at
least one type A residual current circuit
breaker if it is subject to the scope of HD
60364-7-722:2016.
n No other circuits may be connected to
the residual current circuit breakers.
