8.8 Tightening the safety chain

The sensor can accelerate to high speeds.

Keep the chain taut.

Keep the chain taut: hook the snap hook into the lug on the transmitter.
8.9 Removing the measuring device
WARNING

The measuring device is energized!
Risk of fatal injury from electric shock.
‣
Open the measuring device only when the device is de-energized.
DANGER

If the sensor is exposed to the full process pressure, strong internal forces act on the
sensor.
Risk of injury!
‣
Therefore it must be ensured that the sensor is not able to accelerate to dangerously high
exit speeds:
‣
Make sure that the process pressure does not exceed 4.5 barg (65psi).
‣
Before you release the sensor coupling, make sure that the safety chain is properly hooked
into the hot tap and sensor fastening points and is taut.
