12.7 Lowering the sensor to the calculated insertion depth

Open the ball valve slowly (1),
open the coupling nut until some
gas escapes (2).
NOTICE
Risk of damage to the sensor tip!
‣
Do not insert the sensor too far.

Tighten the coupling nut by hand.
‣
Mounting for the first time:
tighten coupling nut with 1 ¼
turns.
‣
Repeat mounting: tighten
coupling nut with 1 turn.
‣
NOTE!  If strong vibrations can
be expected, tighten the coupling
nut with 1½ turns when
mounting for the first time.

For t-mass 300: The sensor can
then be inserted into the tube.
Turn the hexagonal bolt
counterclockwise (1) and
introduce the sensor to the
calculated insertion depth (2).
