12.8 Removing the measuring device
Precondition:
 The retractable assembly must be installed as described in Section 14.6 →  24.
WARNING

The measuring device is energized!
Risk of fatal injury from electric shock.
‣
Open the measuring device only when the device is de-energized.
DANGER
L
If the sensor is exposed to the full process pressure, strong internal forces act on the
sensor. The sensor can accelerate to high speeds.
Risk of injury.
‣
Therefore it must be ensured that the sensor is not able to accelerate to dangerously high
exit speeds. The following measures must be taken:

Make sure that the process pressure does not exceed 16 barg (232 psi)
‣
Before you release the sensor coupling, make sure that the safety chain is properly hooked
into the hot tap and sensor fastening points and is taut.

Hot surfaces!
Burn hazard.
‣
Before commencing work: allow the system and measuring device to cool down to a
touchable temperature.
