5 Transport and positioning

Risk of injury resulting from improper transportation and positioning
In the event of improper transportation and positioning, the device could topple over or fall. This could
cause major burns.
► Check and wear your personal protective equipment.
► Place the device on a suitable surface (flat, solid, dry) on which it will not topple over.
► Note the weight of the device when lifting it.
► Avoid lifting and setting down the device abruptly.
► Do not lift the device over persons or other devices.
NOTICE
Material damage resulting from improper transportation and positioning
Weather conditions can cause irreparable damage to the device.
► Protect the device against the weather conditions, e.g. rain and direct sunlight.
► Convey the device to the desired work area using its handle.
► Ensure clear access to the control elements and connections.
► To ensure a clean weld seam, ensure that the surface is clean and flat.

6 Putting into operation

Use of damaged or improperly installed cables may result in a potentially fatal electric shock.
► Check all live cables and connections for proper installation and damage.
► Have any damaged, deformed or worn parts replaced only by a qualified electrician.
