1. Place the device with inserted cutter
onto the edge of the workpiece to be
processed while allowing space below
the cutter.
2. Unlock the cutting depth rough adjust-
ment by turning the locking knob (16)
anticlockwise about half way.
3.. Press the cutting depth rough adjust-
ment button (6) and keep it pressed.
4. Now move the drive unit (5) down-
wards/upwards and roughly set the
desired cutting depth.
5. Let go of the button (6).
6. Use the adjusting knob (7) for fine
adjustment: one entire rotation corres-
ponds to 1 mm:
Counter-clockwise rotation:
greater cutting depth.
Clockwise rotation:
lesser cutting depth.
7. Fix the desired cutting depth by turning
the locking knob (16) clockwise until
you sense resistance.
We recommend testing the cutting
depth adjustment by means of a test
cut on a reject piece.
To permanently secure the finely ad-
justed cutting depth, you can screw
in the locking screw (8) into the ad-
justing knob (7) of the cutting depth
fine adjustment from the underside
of the baseplate (9).
Inserting/removing the
battery
1. To remove the battery (1) from the ap-
pliance, press the release buttons (2) on
the battery and pull out the battery.
2. To insert the battery (1), push the bat-
tery along the guide rail into the device.
You will hear it click into place.

completely assembled.

Checking the battery charge
level
The battery's (1) charge level is indicated
by the charge state indicator.
• The charge level of the battery is indi-
cated by illumination of the correspond-
ing LED lights (17) while the device is in
operation.
red-yellow-green => Battery fully charged
red and yellow
=> Battery half charged
red
=> Battery needs

Recharging the battery

Allow a hot battery to cool before
charging.
Charge the battery (1) when only
the red LED on the level indicator is
illuminated.
The charging time is around 1 hour.
1. Remove the battery (1) from the appli-
ance if necessary.
2. Plug the battery charger (23) into a
mains outlet.
3. Insert the battery (1) in the charging com-
partment of the battery charger (23).
4. Pull the battery (1) out of the battery
charger (23).
5. Unplug the battery charger (23) from
the mains.
