Please note the following prescriptions in the context of electrical
connection:
• Operation of the thyristor power units is only intended for use in
buildings/property with an operating current greater than/equal to
100 A for each phase.
• Operation of the thyristor power units at asymmetrical systems
(one system phase grounded) is not admissible.
• The thyristor power units may only be connected to earthed sys
tems such as TT or TN systems.
In the case of nonearthed systems (e.g. IT system), an isolating
transformer with secondary earthed center has to be used.
Onesided earthing is not permitted.
• The mains system must be appropriately fused.
• If you use residual current protective equipment, it must be suita
ble for being operated in your application!
Check the applicable manufacturer data!
Comply with all applicable regulations!
• Make sure that the mains voltage is within the permitted range.
For information on the permissible range, refer to section 15 from
page 309 and the nameplate of the respective thyristor power
unit.
The positions of the connections are indicated in Section 7.1.1 from
page 256.
Connect the PE connector at the thyristor power unit to a suitable
"
grounding point.
