Operation and Control

NOTE
The machine can be operated with a CAS battery
pack.
It is recommended that only battery packs with
output≥5.5Ahbeused.Significantperformance
losses are to be expected if battery packs with a
lower capacity are used.
The optimum running time and performance
is achieved by using battery packs with 8 Ah
capacity.
NOTE
1
A longer lasting overload of the machine leads
to thermal cutout. The cutout is signalled by the red
light of the overheating protection LEDs (9) and by
a single bleep.
Î Allow the machine and battery pack to cool:
f If the battery pack feels very warm, the
battery pack can cool faster in an "AIR
COOLED" charger (e.g. quick charger
ASC 145, 145 W).
f The machine cools faster when it runs with
no load.

Starting Drilling

CAUTION
Risk of injury due to hot drill bits.
Î The drill bits fitted can get hot if used for a
lengthy time. After drilling, allow tools to cool.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to falling drill cores.
Î In case of through-drilling, always check the
rooms below or behind the area being drilled
and block of the danger zone. Use formwork to
secure the drill core against falling.
NOTE
The socket outlet drill bit can become blunt or
irreparably damaged by overheating.
The feed may only be as high as the socket outlet
drill bit can wear away the material. Do not exert
excessive pressure on the socket outlet drill bit
(see Chapter "8 Handling the diamond socket
outlet drill bit" on page 40).
NOTE
1
The machine is equipped with overheating
protection.
In case of overheating:
The machine switches off automatically and a
short bleep sounds.
The overheating protection LEDs (9) light up
red.
1
Connect the dust extraction to the vacuum
cleaner adapter (10) (see Chapter "4.3
Connecting the dust extractor" on page 36).
4
Fit on the socket outlet drill bit (1) (see
Chapter "4.4 Fitting and dismantling the socket
outlet drill bit" on page 37).
5
Insert the centring pin (1) (see Chapter "4.5
Inserting the centring pin" on page 37).
7
Insert the battery pack (2) (see Chapter "5.1
Inserting and removing the battery pack into/
from the machine" on page 38).
