Test the function of the dust extractor.
•
3 Screw the extraction hose (1) into the hose
adapter (2).
•
3 Insert the hose adapter (2) with extraction
hose (1) into the vacuum cleaner adapter (3).
4.4 Fitting and dismantling the
socket outlet drill bit
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to rotating insert tools.
1 Activate the transport lock (2).

6 Remove the battery pack (2) before

carrying out any work on the power tool (see
Chapter "5.1 Inserting and removing the battery
pack into/from the machine" on page 38).
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to hot or sharp-edged socket
outlet drill bits.
Î Wear safety gloves.
Fitting the socket outlet drill bit:
•
4 Screw the socket outlet drill bit (1) onto the
external thread of the socket outlet drill bit
retainer (2).
•

Use the open-ended spanner supplied to
hold the drive shaft in position at the spanner
flat (3) and tighten the socket outlet drill bit by
hand.
Dismantling the socket outlet drill bit:
•
3 Pull the extraction hose (1) with hose adapter
(2) out of the vacuum cleaner adapter (3).
•
6 Place an open-ended spanner on the
spanner flat of the suction connection adapter
(2) and hold the adapter in position.
•
6 Place a second open-ended spanner through
the opening in the vacuum cleaner adapter and
position it on the spanner flat of the socket outlet
drill bit (1), loosen and unscrew the socket outlet
drill bit carefully.

Inserting the centring pin

The centring pin is used for precise spot drilling.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to hot or sharp-edged centring
pin.
Î Wear safety gloves.
Inserting the centring pin:
•
5 Press the centring pin (1) into the socket
outlet drill bit retainer (2) until it audibly latches
into position.
Removing the centring pin:
•
5 Pull the centring pin (1) out of the socket
outlet drill bit retainer (2).
4.6 Switching hammer drilling on
and off
NOTE
To avoid damage to the machine, the hammer
drilling ( ) may only be switched on or off if the
machine is at a complete standstill.
Î Wait for the machine to completely stop.
Switch hammer drilling ( ) on or off, depending on
the material to be drilled:
•
Hammer drilling ( ) is recommended for:
f Drilling holes in exposed aggregate
concrete, brick and other hard materials.
•
Drilling without impact ( ) is recommended for:
f Drilling holes in abrasive materials and
materials with low hardness.
f For spot drilling with the centring pin.
•
1 Move the hammer drilling slide switch (1) into
the required position ( / ).
Left position: Hammer drilling ON
Right position: Hammer drilling OFF
