Preparation:
• Set the temperature regulator (3) to "7"
at least 3 hours before cleaning. This
generates additional freezing capacity for
the frozen goods, preventing them from
defrosting as quickly.
Defrosting:
1. Set the temperature regulator (3) to
"0".
2. Pull out the power plug from the
socket.
3. Take out the food from the refrigerator
and the frozen food from the freezer
compartment.
4. Ensure that your food remains
sufficiently cooled.
5. Place a bowl with hot, but not boiling
water in the freezer compartment. This
accelerates the defrosting process.
6. Leave the door open during the
defrosting process and place a
cleaning rag in front of the appliance
to absorb leaking condensation.
The defrosting time depends on the
thickness of the ice layer. Based on
experience, you can begin with the
cleaning of the appliance after approx. 1
hour.
7. Wipe out the interior with warm water
and detergent.
When wiping again, add a few drops of
vinegar to the water to prevent mould
formation.
8. Clean the door seal with clear water
only; it is sensitive to oil and grease.
9. Wipe everything completely dry,
including the door seal, and aerate
briefly.
10. Put the food back in the
refrigerator/freezer compartment.
11. Plug the power plug back in the socket
and turn the temperature regulator to
level "7".
12. As soon as the temperature −18 °C has
been reached, turn the temperature
regulator back to its normal position.
Care and maintenance

WARNING
Risk of electrical shock!
Touching live parts may result in
serious injury or death.
Before changing the light bulb,
■
pull out the power plug.
Only use light bulbs with a maximum output
of. 10W, 230 volts and E14 base (ILCOS:
IBB/C-28-220/240-E14-35).
1. Pull out the power plug from the
socket.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the
screws from the cover and remove the
cover.
3. Unscrew the light bulb from the socket
and replace it with a new bulb of the
same type.
4. Screw on the cover again.
5. Plug the power plug back into the socket.
