All connections are located at the rear (Fig. 2).
The control unit interface has two physical connections COM1A (2) and COM1B
(3), but only one physical processor interface. COM1A is a standard RS232
interface for data transfer. COM1B is adjustable as a current loop (modified TTY
interface). This current loop is referred to below as "TTY". The video matrix unit is
selected via this connection. Only one connection can be active.
The telemetry interface consists of a physical connection COM2 (4). COM2 is
adjustable as a TTY or RS485 interface. Cameras, domes, DCUs and SCUs can
be controlled via the telemetry interface. A plug for DC 12 V (1) is used for the
external supply from a suitable power supply unit. System-specific settings must be
made to permit operation appropriate to the requirements. The DIP switches
required for this are located inside the unit. Refer to chapter 4 for information on
the interfaces, the DIP switches and the preset functions.
