The Control Unit CKA4820 is a professional product for application in the security
and surveillance sectors and is used for remote selection of SIMATRIX
164/648/SYS video matrix units, and for remote control of cameras with pan-and-
tilt drives via SCUs, domes via DCUs or RS485, or cameras via camera
converters. Please refer to the corresponding Instruction Manuals for the possible
system configurations, required settings, and respective functions of the peripheral
devices.
The control unit is fitted in a rectangular, aluminum desktop housing with non-slip
feet.
The sloping top of the unit (Fig. 1) contains the membrane keyboard, an LCD (14)
and a joystick (1). The key switch (16) is used for logging in and for changing the
PIN code. The LED (15) displays the status when logging in or when changing the
PIN code. It also serves to check the connection between control unit and video
matrix. The keys (3) to (13) are used to control the peripheral devices connected to
the control unit. The keys F1 to F10 (2) are used to call special functions.
