The functionalities of the joystick, keyboard and LCD can be tested in the
"Maintenance support" menu (see Section 7.1 and Fig. 25). Testing is started in
each case by moving the selection arrow in the second line of the LCD to
"Execute" using the joystick.
The joystick must output approximately symmetrical values in its axes.
Example of symmetry:
Center position: 128
Extreme values for X axis: left: 099, right: 154
Extreme values for Y axis: down: 093, up: 157
Extreme values for Z axis: left: 083, right: 174
If the values are not symmetrical, the joystick can be calibrated using the menu
item "Joystick calibr.".
1. Select menu item "Execute" (see Fig. 25). The LCD displays the following:

move joystick to extreme values!
2. Move joystick in any order to the limits of the X, Y and Z axes.
3. Wait approx. 2 seconds. Following the calibration, the CKA4820 closes the
menu item automatically, and returns to display of the menu selection.
