6.5 Commissioning

Check whether the priming pump has been bleeded (vented) as per chapter 6.4.
6.5.1 Moun�ng of unit under test and reference instrument
• Check all gaskets and seals in the pressure ports regarding perfect condi�on, placement and
cleanness.
• The unit under test and the pressure reference instrument are mounted to the pressure ports
p1 (2) and p2 (4) and - thanks to the female swivel nuts - can be orientated. The sequence does
not ma�er. If a threaded adapter is needed, first mount it to the pressure instrument
(pressure-sealed), then mount instrument (with adapter) to the pump's pressure port.
Reference instrument and unit under test have to be mounted
any tool like wrench key etc.
Dirty or impurified devices under test should be cleaned, before fi�ng to the pump.
Otherwise the pump may become dirty and avoid func�onality/�ghtness.
See chapter 6.7 „Cleaning of unit under test".
For tes�ng pressure reading instruments with back connec�on, there is an 90° angle
connector available as an accessory. Order-Code
6.5.2 Filling up of the opera�ng medium
Only fluids as described in chapter 3.2 have to be used.
• Turn in the star-handle (9) fully clockwise.
• Open the cover of the reservoir (3).
• No you can fill up the opera�ng fluid,
we recommend 1/2 to max. 3/4 height.
• Close the reservoir (3) with the cover.
6.5.3 Bleeding of the system
1) Open locking lever (1) by turning an�-clockwise (
2) Operate the priming pump (6) about 10 �mes.
3) Close locking lever (1) by turning clockwise (
4) Operate the priming pump (6) and turn out the star-handle (9) an�-clockwise simultaneously.
Herewith, the pressure chamber of the pump becomes filled with the opera�on fluid.
5) Open locking lever (1) by turning an�-clockwise (
6) Turn in the star-handle (9) fully clockwise.
7) Repeat steps „3)" to „6)" about three �mes, if needed more o�en (un�l no more bubbles
appear in the opera�ng fluid).
