• Displace the reservoir cover.
• Unsrew the sinter filter (made in brass) at the bo�om of the reservoir using a flat screw driver
(blade width about 7 - 7.5 mm) and store it at a safe place (for a possible later usage of the pump
with des�lled water).

6.4 Bleeding of the priming pump

NOTE: the final inspec�on of the pump in factory had been carried out with des�lled water.
First of all, before first usage of the pressure comparison pump, the priming pump has to be
bleeded.
• Turn star-handle (9) fully an�-clockwise.
• Close pressure ports p1 (2) and p2 (4) with a reference instrument
and an unit under test, or with two of the as assessory available
blind plugs (order-code
• Open locking lever (1) by turning an�-clockwise (
• Turn star-handle (9) fully clockwise.
• Fill into reservoir suitable opera�ng fluid (see chapter 3.2)
but only un�l level reaches the surface level of the upper
side of the plas�c housing of the pump.
• Open the knurled nut (7) below the priming pump knob
(6) by turning an�-clockwise about 4-5 turns.
The air inside the priming pump gets out now.
Eventually it might make sence to fill a bit of the opera�ng
fluid into the priming pump.
• Close the knurled nut (7) by turning clockwise,
hand-screwed only!
