To ensure safe working on the instrument, the opera�ng company must ensure
• that suitable first-aid equipment is available and aid is provided whenever required.
• that the opera�ng personnel are regularly instructed in all topics regarding work
safety, first aid and environmental protec�on and knows the opera�ng instruc�ons
and, in par�cular, the safety instruc�ons contained therein.

Residual media on the hydraulic pressure comparison test pump can result in a risk to
persons, the environment and the equipment. Take sufficient precau�onary measures.
2.4.1 Mineral oil health and safety informa�on
DRUCK & TEMPERATUR Leitenberger GmbH provide hydraulic mineral oil in containers up to 1 l,
labelled „CPB5000-FLUID", for use up to 4,000 bar in test pumps. It is no more hazardous than
other common lubrica�ng oils.
It is the nature of the way in which this equipment is used, that there could be frequent and/or
prolonged skin contact; in a few individuals this could give rise to skin irrita�on (Keratosis or
Derma��s). The use of an effec�ve barrier cream and/or protec�ve gloves will greatly reduce
this possibility.
Descrip�on of the hydraulic fluid based on mineral oil „CPB5000-FLUID":
Closed flash point: greater than 120°C
Storage: not above 30°C
Oral LD 50: 15 g per kg body weight
Threshold limit value: 5 mg/m³
Fire ex�nguishing media: CO2/dry chemical foam or water fog
Spillage: Soak with absorbent clay or proprietary absorbent
Waste disposal: Burn or dump in approved arrea.
