Adjusting the back upholstery (Fig. 49)
To do this, remove the back upholstery padding and loosen the straps' hook and loop fasteners. Please see to
it that the user's pelvis is positioned as far posterior in the wheelchair as possible, i.e. between the back tubes.
Especially in the lower section (pelvis) the padding must have sufficient sag. Next, adjust the straps one after the
other, beginning with the lowest one. Place the back upholstery padding over the straps.
The contours of the adjustable back will result from the user's individual requirements. Please do not make the
straps too taut to allow for some play. A well adjusted back provides lasting comfort for the wheelchair user and
reduces the risk of secondary damages and pressure zones.

Mounting the anti-tipper
• Mount the receiver tube on the inner side of the rear frame using the oval head screws (Fig. I, item 1) and the
nuts (Fig. I, item 2).
• Put the distance bushing through the close eyelet of the spring (Fig. II, item 3). Attach a 25 cm long cord to the
lower eyelet of the expansion spring (Fig. II, item 4) and push the expansion spring back into the receiver tube.
Put the screw (Fig. III, item 5) through the desired bore hole and at the same time through the distance bush-
ing and through the upper eyelet of the expansion spring. Do not tighten the nut (Fig. III, item 6) too snugly.
• Remove the protective cap (item 7) from the lower end of the anti-tipper. Then, thread the cord into the anti-tip-
per tube and push the anti-tipper into the receiver tube until it stops. The lower end of the cord should protrude
from the lower end of the anti-tipper tube. Pull the cord downwards so that the bolt (Fig. IV, item 8) can be put
through both the bore hole and the lower eyelet of the expansion spring. Leave the cord in the anti-tipper and
re-attach the protective cap (Fig. V, item 7).

• The anti-tipper can now be adjusted to the position of your rear wheel. By changing the position of the screw
connection in the receiver tube, or by changing the position of the receiver tube on the frame, you may adjust
the anti-tipper horizontally. By changing the position of the tripod spring you may adjust the anti-tipper verti-
cally.
