Konfiguration für allgemeine Anwendung
Wenn Sie die XENON 100 SCB für andere Anwen -
dungen als für die Gastroenterologie und andere
als die entsprechenden Videoendoskope verwen-
den möchten und die Helligkeit nicht ausreicht,
können Sie die Lichtintensität durch Konfiguration
der Lichtquelle für allgemeine Anwendungen erhö-
hen (s. u.).
Warnung: Es wird dringend empfohlen, die Konfiguration
für allgemeine Anwendungen nur anzuwenden, wenn an-
dere Möglichkeiten ausgeschöpft sind. Die Konfiguration
für allgemeine Anwendungen keinesfalls für
Videoendoskope für die Gastroenterologie verwenden.
Warnung: Wenn für die Anwendung mehr Helligkeit erforder-
lich ist, Ihre Geräte für die erhöhte Belastung ausgelegt sind
und die Lichtquelle für allgemeine Anwendungen konfiguriert
wurde, machen Sie die Modifikation rückgängig, sobald Sie
Ihre Anwendung beendet haben. Wenn die Änderung blei-
ben soll oder das Gerät möglicherweise in der Konfiguration
für allgemeine Anwendungen von anderen benutzt wird, ach-
ten Sie darauf, dass jeder über die Änderung informiert wird.
Einen Warnhinweis anbringen.
Das Gerät ausschalten und alle Stecker ziehen.
Wenn das Gerät heiß ist, lassen Sie es abkühlen,
bevor Sie fortfahren. Dann das Gerät öffnen wie
im Abschnitt „Lampenwechsel" beschrieben.
Den Deckel vom Lampenfach jedoch nicht öff-
nen.
Das Lampenfach ist von der rechten Seite des
Gerätes (von vorne gesehen) zugänglich. Ziehen
Sie den Schieber mit dem Dämpfer so weit wie
möglich heraus. Berühren Sie nicht die Lampe
oder andere optische Teile.
Dann montieren Sie wieder den Deckel und ver-
schließen ihn mit den Schnellverschlüssen auf
der Rückseite des Gerätes.
Verbinden Sie alle Stecker mit ihren
Anschlüssen.
Maintenance
General purpose configuration
If you want to use the XENON 100 SCB in appli-
cations apart from gastroenterology and using
other instruments than the corresponding
KARL STORZ videoscopes dedicated for this pur-
pose and the light-source does not satisfy the re-
quirements in terms of brightness, you may
enhance the intensity by configuring the light
source for general purpose application (see
below).
Warning: It is highly recommended to use the general
purpose configuration only when other options fail.
Never use the general purpose configuration in
combination with videoscopes for gastroenterology.
Warning: If your application demands enhanced
brightness and your equipment is capable of withstan-
ding the additional stress and you configure the light
source for general purpose applications, undo the mo-
dification as soon as you have finished. If the modifica-
tion is intended to be permanent or it is likely that other
users are involved while the unit is configured for gene-
ral purpose, make sure that everybody is notified about
the modification. Attach a warning sticker .
Switch off the unit and unplug all cables.
If hot, let the unit cool down before you continue.
Then open the unit as shown for lamp replace-
ment. Do not open the lamp compartment lid.
The lamp compartment is accessible from the
right-hand side of the device (viewed from the
front). Pull out the attenuator slide as shown until
it stops. Do not touch the lamp or other optical
parts.
Then mount the cover again and lock it with
quick-release coupling mechanisms on the back
of the unit.
Reconnect all cables.

Configuración para aplicaciones generales
Si desea utilizar la XENON 100 SCB para otras
aplicaciones diferentes a la gastroenterología y
otros videoendoscopios diferentes y la luminosidad
no fuera suficiente, usted puede aumentar la inten-
sidad lumínica configurando la fuente de luz para
aplicaciones generales (véase más abajo).
Cuidado: Se recomienda encarecidamente utilizar la confi-
guración para aplicaciones generales únicamente cuando
se hayan agotado todas las otras posibilidades. No utilice
en ningún caso la configuración para aplicaciones gene-
rales con videoendoscopios para gastroenterología.
Cuidado: Si para la aplicación se requiere más luminosidad,
sus aparatos están diseñados para una carga elevada y la
fuente de luz ha sido configurada para aplicaciones genera-
les, anule la modificación en cuanto haya finalizado la aplica-
ción. En caso de que la modificación deba permanecer o si
es probable que el aparato vaya a ser empleado por otras
personas en la configuración para aplicaciones generales,
preste atención a que todos estén informados acerca de la
modificación. Coloque una indicación de advertencia.
Desconecte el aparato y extraiga todos los en-
chufes.
Si el aparato está caliente, déjelo enfriar antes
de continuar. Después abra el aparato como se
describe en la sección "Cambio de la lámpara".
Sin embargo, no abra la tapa del compartimien-
to para lámparas.
El compartimiento para lámparas es accesible
por el lado derecho del aparato (visto desde
adelante). Extraiga hacia afuera el deslizador
con el atenuador todo cuanto sea posible. No
toque la lámpara u otras piezas ópticas.
Después monte nuevamente la tapa y ciérrela
con los cierres rápidos en el lado posterior del
aparato.
Conecte todos los enchufes con sus conexio-
nes.
