Cooking

Here, we give some tips for cooking in microwave
mode.
• Foodstuffs from the refrigerator require a little
longer to cook than food at room temperature.
• The more compact the food is, the longer the
time to cook. For example, a bigger piece of
meat takes longer to cook than the same amount
of meat cut into strips.
• Parboil large amounts at maximum power.
Finally cook them evenly at medium power.
• Spread the food over as great an area as
possible on the ovenware. Keep differences in
height to a minimum.
• Lay the thin ends of foods with different
thicknesses (e.g. chicken drumsticks or fish
fillets) towards the inside or overlap them.
• Smaller amounts cook faster than larger. The
rule of thumb says:
– Double the amount = almost double time to
cook
– Half the amount = half the time
