5. Voltage Measurements DC/AC

To avoid harms to you or damages to the multimeter from electric shock,
please do not attempt to measure voltages higher than 600 V or 600 V rms
although readings may be obtained.
If the measured value exceeds the range limit of the set measuring range, the
word "O.L" appears in the middle of the display. In this case, immediately
remove the measuring leads from the device under test and, if possible, select
a higher measuring range.
1. Connect the black test lead to the COM jack (8) and the red test lead to the
V/Ω/Hz/
/
2. Set the rotary function / range switch (5) to the V
3. Press the function key FUNC (3) to select DC or AC voltage measurement.
4. If you use the manual range mode and the magnitude of the voltage to be
measured is not known beforehand, select the highest range and then
reduce it range by range until satisfactory results are obtained.
5. Connect the test leads across the object being measured (pay attention to
the polarity of the test leads when measuring DC voltages, red to plus and
black to minus). The measured value is shown on the display.
When measuring a negative voltage, the negative sign (F) appears left to
the reading.

6. Current Measurements DC/AC

To measure current you interrupt the circuit to be measured and turn the meter
in this circuit in series with the consumer. Please note when measuring
current: the maximum current that can be measured without damaging the
device is 10 A (for a maximum of 10 seconds) and 400 mA depending on the
selected range. Never connect a voltage source directly to the current test
sockets of the meter. A sufficiently powerful power source may lead to a short
circuit with fire and burns.
If the value of current to be measured is unknown, use the maximum
measurement position (10 A) and 10 A jack.
1. Set the rotary function / range switch (5) to the desired range µA
or 10 A
. If the value of current to be measured is unknown, use the
maximum measurement position, and reduce the range step by step until a
satisfactory reading is obtained.
2. Press the function key FUNC (3) to select DC or AC current measurement.
