3. Discharge the capacitor to be measured and then connect the test leads to
the capacitor. If you are measuring electrolyte capacitors, pay attention to
the polarity. The measured value is shown on the display.
Notes:
A defective capacitor will produce a reading around the value zero, if it is
interrupted.
To minimize the measurement error caused by the distributed capacitor,
the testing lead or testing clip should be as short as possible. When the
tested capacitor is greater than 30 µF, reading is for reference only.
It is normal that it takes a while for zeroing when changing over the
measurement range. This process will not affect the accuracy of the final
readings obtained.

10. Measuring Frequency and Duty Cycle

1. Connect the black test lead to the COM jack (8) and the red test lead to the
V/Ω/Hz/

2. Set the rotary function / range switch (5) to the Hz% position.
3. If necessary, press the Hz% key (12) once to select frequency (Hz) or duty
cycle (%) measurement mode.
4. Connect the test leads across the source or load to be measured and read
the reading on the display.
Please note:
For frequency measurements, the voltage of the input signal should be
between 1 V rms and 20 V rms.
For duty cycle measurements, the voltage of the input signal should be
between 3 Vp-p and 10 Vp-p.

11. Testing Diodes

Use the diode test to check diodes, transistors, and other semiconductor
devices. The diode test sends a current through the semiconductor junction,
and then measures the voltage drop across the junction. A good Silicon
junction drops between 0.5 V and 0.8 V.
