To avoid an electric stroke, take extra care not to touch the measuring tips
and the circuitry while taking measurements (not even indirectly).
Avoid taking measurements in excessive humidity or under wet conditions.
When taking measurements, you absolutely must have dry hands and
stand on a dry floor with dry shoes.
Do not operate the multimeter around explosive gas, vapour or dust.
Do not use the multimeter if it operates abnormally. Protection may be
impaired. When in doubt, have the meter serviced.
To avoid false readings which could lead to possible electric shock or
personal injury, replace the batteries as soon as the low battery indicator (I)
appears.
Do not expose the multimeter to extreme temperatures and store the
device at normal room temperature.
Before each measurement, check the instrument, test leads, test probes
and other accessories for possible damage. In the event of damage, do not
perform any measurements and have the defective parts replaced.
Never connect a voltage source with the measuring probe tips when the
function continuity test, resistance measurement, temperature measure-
ment, diode test and current measurements are selected.
Only use original accessory.
Maintenance and repair of the device should only be performed by a
qualified technician!
Do not disassemble the unit and do not attempt to repair it yourself. There
are no parts (except for the battery and fuse) serviceable by you inside. In
case of questions or problems please turn to out technical service depart-
ment.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries do not
belong in household garbage.
For battery disposal, please check with your local
council.
