Set Your Printing Preferences on a Macintosh

Printing preferences allow you to set up your Everest printer to produce the best possible labels on your discs.

Note: The location of the preferences described in this section will change depending on the program used to print the
label file.

Access Printing Preferences (Macintosh)

1. Open the label file in the application of your choice.
2. From the File menu, select Print. The Print dialog box opens.
3. From the Printer dropdown list, select the model number of Everest:
•
For the Everest 600, select CDPR23.
•
For the Everest III, select CDPR22.

Set the Media Type, Ribbon Type and Print Quality (Macintosh)

1. preferences. Refer to page 21 for instructions.
Access printing
2. From the third dropdown list, select Everest Settings. The Everest Settings pane displays.
3. Select the appropriate Media Type.
4. Select the appropriate type of Ribbon.
If you select CMY + White for the ribbon type, several options display in the Mode dropdown list.
•
Select Auto: Complete white undercoat to apply a white background everywhere on the printable area of the disc.
•
Select Auto: Make Pure white transparent to make pure white areas of an image transparent.
•
Select Manual: Step 1 (CMY) and Manual: Step 2 (White) to manually determine where a white background is
applied.

Note: The Manual options are intended to be used as part of a two-print sequence on the same disc. For the first
print, select Step 1, and for the second print select Step 2.
Select the desired Print Quality.

6. To continue setting your printing preferences, select other options from the third dropdown list.
OR
Select Print to print the label.

Set the Color Matching and Image Adjustments (Macintosh)

1. Access printing preferences. Refer to page 21 for instructions.
2. From the third dropdown list, select Everest Colors. The Everest Colors pane displays.
3. Select the desired criteria for Color Matching.
4. Select the desired Matching Method.
5. Move the Brightness slider to modify the image brightness.
6. Select the desired Threshold.
7. To continue setting your printing preferences, select other options from the third dropdown list.
OR
Select Print to print the label.
