MASTER/SLAVE PROGRAMMING AND CONFIGURATION
In the case of synchronised double barrier installations (Master-
Slave configurations), the stroke of each individual barrier needs to be
configured and programmed (both Master and Slave) after which the bus
cable between the Master and Slave can be connected (see diagram in
previous paragraph). Each barrier can be configured and programmed
either in manual mode (via the keys and trimmers on the board) or via
the App COMUNELLO ONE by entering the K-ONE on the board of the
barrier to be configured.
Recommended Master-Slave programming procedure: Procedura
consigliata di programmazione Master-Slave:
1. Install and power up the barriers, connecting the bus cable between
the MASTER and SLAVE
2. Configure and program stroke of the SLAVE barrier (as if it were a single
barrier)
3. Ensure that dip-switch #9 of the SLAVE barrier is set to ON
4. Configure and program stroke of the MASTER barrier (as if it were a
single barrier)
5. Ensure that dip-switch #9 of the MASTER barrier is set to OFF

6. Ensure that the bus cable is connected between the MASTER and
SLAVE
7. Move the MASTER barrier (by means of the control accessories or radio
control) and check that the SLAVE barrier movement is synchronised
with the MASTER barrier
CAUTION: once the MASTER and SLAVE barriers are programmed and
configured, it is still possible to access these settings to make subsequent
on-site modifications (speed adjustments, deceleration settings, etc.)
when required (either in manual mode or via the App COMUNELLO ONE).
DISABLING THE DS (SAFETY DEVICES)
Is it possible to disable the DS (Safety Devices) installed and connected
to the BUS line accessories, such as the photocells and the 8K2 input.
This allows to operate the automation even in cases of suspected faults
to the DS, facilitating maintenance or technical checks of the system. In
any case, if the DS are disabled, only those that are actually faulty will be

excluded from the BUS, along with input 8K2, while the functional DS will
remain enabled.

CAUTION: Always enable the DSs, if present. Temporarily disable them
only during maintenance.
CAUTION: A variation to dip-switch settings requires a RESET via the key
on the control unit to apply the new settings.
8K2 INPUT (STOP)
The control unit has a dedicated terminal for the safety devices (DS) with an
8K2 impedance threshold. This input blocks (STOP) the automation if the
connected impedance has a value of 8K2 Ohm (±20%):

ANTENNA INPUT
The control unit is equipped with a dedicated terminal for connection of the
radio aerial, required for reception of the commands sent from the 433MHz
radio transmitters (aerial impedance 50 Ohm).

STROKE PROGRAMMING (AUTOSET)
The control unit allows Automatic Programming of the maximum barrier
stroke.
CHECKING THE DIRECTION OF OPERATOR ROTATION:
To speed up the stroke learning manoeuvre, it is advisable to check
whether the operator rotation direction (Operator 1) is consistent with the
expected movement of the barrier. If the operator moves contrary to what
expected, press the RESET button, stopping the operator and change
THE ROTATION DIRECTION, without intervening physically on the electrical
connections (para. CHANGING THE OPERATOR ROTATION DIRECTION).
STROKE PROGRAMMING:
To start the self-learning manoeuvre, position the barrier half-open,
press the AUTOSET button until the respective LED lights up (above the
AUTOSET button) and then release the button. The AUTOSET led starts
flashing for a few seconds (detection of any accessories connected to the
BUS), after which the led remains permanently lit and the operator starts
running. Operator 1 will run the closing movement until the gate reaches
the limit switch or limit stop.
The control unit completes the self-learning phase by performing a complete
opening and closing cycle (turning off the AUTOSET led).
The deceleration phase is set automatically during the self-learning cycle.
