2. EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS

This symbol is used when your health is at risk, e.g.. from an electric shock.
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important notes in these operating instructions that must be
strictly observed.
The „arrow" symbol indicates that special advice and notes on operation are provided here.

3. INTENDED USE

This charger must only be used for simultaneous charging of up to eight rechargeable NiMH or NiCd round cell
batteries, types AA/mignon and AAA/micro, C/baby and D/mono.
This charger may be used to charge up to eight rechargeable NiZn round cell batteries of the type AA/mignon and
AAA/micro simultaneously as well.
The combined charging of NiMH and NiCd rechargeable batteries is possible at all times in all chutes. However, it is
only possible to charge NiMH/NiCd and NiZn rechargeable batteries at the same time if considering that there are
only rechargeable batteries of the same rechargeable batteries chemistry in the left (S1/S3/S5/S7) and right
(S2/S4/S6/S8) charging chutes respectively.
There also are two charging chutes for NiMH-/NiCd-9 V-block batteries that work independently of the round cell
charging chutes.
The concurrent performance of different programmes is possible even at different cell size and battery chemistry.
The USB interface is used to control the device and to read the data with the PC software that you can download
free of charge in the latest version from our website www.conrad.com at all times.
The SD/SDHC memory card insert also permits autonomous logging of data in the CSV format and later evaluation
on the PC with spreadsheet software.
The large graphic LC display shows all relevant values, as well as the charging and discharging curves in a good
overview.
A matching plug-in mains unit is included in the delivery to supply the charger. Alternatively, the charger may also be
operated via a suitable car adapter (not included in the delivery, can be ordered separately).
The safety notes and all other information in these operating instructions always have to be observed!
Any other use than the one described above will damage the product and cause danger, such as short-circuits, fire,
electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or converted and the casing must not be opened!
