USB charger „QCP-3000"

Intended use

The USB charger has a USB volt age/power outlet which is suitable for charging a compatible
device (e.g., smartphone or tablet, etc.).
As a special feature, the product offers support for the charging standard „Qualcomm
Charge 3.0" (compatible with „Quick Charge 2.0" and „Quick Charge 1.0"). By automatically
detecting the connected device, the USB charger provides the compatible output voltage or
output current. As a result, the charging process for compatible devices can be significantly
accelerated.
The product is operated with the power from the mains.
For safety and approval reasons, you may not convert and/or alter the product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. Moreo-
ver, the improper use involves risks such as short-circuits, fire, electric shocks, etc. Please read
the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. If you pass the product on to a third
party, please hand over these operating instructions as well.

Explanation of symbols

The lightning symbol inside of a triangle is used when there is a potential risk of
personal injury, such as electric shock.
An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important instructions in this operating
manual which must be adhered to.
The arrow symbol is used when specific tips and information on the operation are
provided.

Safety instructions

Please read the operating instructions carefully and pay particular attention to
the safety instructions. We do not assume liability for injuries/material damag-
es resulting from failure to observe the safety instructions and the information
in these operating instructions regarding the proper handling of the product.
Furthermore, in such cases, the warranty/guarantee will be null and void.
a) General
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not allowed for
safety and approval reasons.
• Any maintenance or repair work may be performed only by an expert.
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around, since it could be-
come a dangerous plaything for children.
• On industrial sites, the accident prevention regulations of the association of the
industrial workers' society for electrical equipment and utilities must be followed.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this manual, please contact our
technical service or another specialist.
b) Supply Voltage
• The design of the USB charger complies with the safety class II. Use only a proper
mains socket as the power source for the USB charger.
• The mains socket into which the USB charger is plugged must be easily acces-
sible.
• Do not pull the USB charger from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
• Never touch a USB charger that shows signs of damage, as this could cause a
fatal electric shock!
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the product is connected
(switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse or switch
off at the corresponding RCD protective switch, so that the socket is fully discon-
nected).
You can then unplug the USB charger from the mains socket. Dispose of the
damaged USB charger in an environmentally friendly way; do not use it any more.
c) Operation
• The product is not a toy. Devices operated on mains voltage should not be used by
children. Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The product is intended for use in dry indoor rooms only; it must not get damp

or wet; never touch it with damp wet hands! There is a risk of a life-threatening
electric shock!
• The product should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, in-
tense vibrations or heavy mechanical stress. Protect it against dust and dirt.
• Never use the product immediately after moving it from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation that forms might destroy the product. Furthermore, this
could cause a lethal electric shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power
supply and putting it into use. In some cases, this may take several hours.
• Do cover the product when you use it. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
• Do not short circuit the USB outlet.
• For safety reasons, always unplug the USB charger from the mains socket during
a lightning storm.
• Never leave the product and the connected device unattended during the charging
process.
• Avoid the following adverse conditions at the location of installation and during
transport:
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations, impacts or blows
- Strong magnetic fields such as those found close to machinery or loudspeakers
• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer works
- the device was stored for a long period of time in unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• Take care that the connected cable (for e.g., to your smartphone) is not kinked or
squeezed and that no one can trip on it.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows or falls even
from a low height.
• Disconnect the product from the power supply if the product will not be used for a
while (e.g., storage), unplug the USB charger from the mains socket.
