from heat; for example, from continu-
ous exposure to sunlight, fire, water
and moisture. There is a risk of explo-
sion.

6. Service

a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical replace-
ment parts. This will ensure that the safety of
the power tool is maintained.
b) Never try to repair damaged batteries.
Maintenance of batteries should only be car-
ried out by the manufacturer or an approved
customer service centre.

Keep your hands away from the blades.
Contact with the blade could cause serious
injury.
Never allow children, people with limited physi-
cal, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experi-
ence and knowledge, or people unfamiliar with
these instructions to use the product. Local legis-
lation regulates the minimum age of the user.
Never use the product if there is a possibility
of thunderstorms or lightning. Store the product
safely in closed rooms.
Watch out for overhead lines.
Make sure that all protective covers and
handles are properly fastened and in good
condition.
Wear full eye and ear protection when using
this appliance.

Wear long, heavy trousers, boots and gloves.
Do not wear loose clothing or accessories.
Do not go barefoot.
Do not start using the product until you have
a clean working environment, a safe standing
position, and a way to retreat away from falling
branches or twigs.
Do not use a power tool while you are tired or
under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medi-
cation.
Hold the product firmly with both hands during
use. Use one hand to hold the front handle. Use
the other hand to hold the rear handle and op-
erate the release latch and the ON/OFF switch.
Make sure that the product is correctly posi-
tioned before you start it.
Never use the product if there are overhead
lines within 10 m of the cutting tools.
Take regular breaks. Limit the strain you expose
yourself to each day.
Ensure a secure footing and keep your balance.
Do not overreach. Abnormal posture can lead
to loss of balance and cause serious injury.
Do not operate the product with a damaged or
excessively worn cutting tool.
Do not modify your product in any way or use it
to power attachments or equipment not recom-
mended by the manufacturer of your product.
Do not use in poor lighting conditions. Use the
product only in daylight or with good artificial
lighting.
Do not use the product if the cutting mechanism
does not work properly.
