Working safely

■ Keep the appliance in good working order to
prevent injury.
■ If the appliance has been dropped, check for
significant damage or defects.
■ Do not use the appliance while standing on a
ladder or with unsteady footing.
■ Do not be tempted into making a poorly con-
sidered cut. You could endanger yourself and
others.
■ Children must be supervised in order to make
sure that they do not play with the appliance.
■ Change your working position regularly. Using
the appliance for a long time can lead to vibra-
tion-related circulation disorders of the hands.
You can extend the usage duration by using
appropriate gloves or by taking regular breaks.
Note that any personal predisposition to poor
blood circulation, low external temperatures or
large prehensile forces can reduce the usage
period.

Transport and storage

■ Before transport, allow the appliance to cool
down and secure the machine from slipping
before transporting it in a vehicle. This ensures
that damage or injury is prevented. Always
transport the appliance with the protective cov-
er attached.
■ Always clean the appliance thoroughly before
storage.
■ Lubricate the cutting blades

■ Store the appliance in a dry place and out of
the reach of children.
■ You can hang up the appliance by the metal
hook or store the appliance lying down or
secured against falling over.

and free from oil or grease.

extended period, the charge level should be
checked regularly. The optimum charge level is
between 50% and 80%. The optimum storage
environment is cool and dry.
