2. Insert the electrode handle plug into the multi-functional re-
ceptacle of the VIO HF surgical unit.
The VIO HF surgical unit must report that an instrument has
been connected and switch automatically to the multi-func-
tional receptacle's CUT and COAG settings.
3. Press the yellow CUT button.
On the VIO HF surgical unit the CUT mode must then be ac-
tivated. If that is not the case, the handle is damaged.
4. Press the blue COAG button.
On the VIO HF surgical unit the COAG mode must then be ac-
tivated. If that is not the case, the handle is damaged.
5. Press the ReMode button.
In a program with two setting options a and b on the VIO HF
surgical unit there must be a switchover between the two
settings.
If on the VIO HF surgical unit an error message is generated
when the electrode handle is inserted without a button having
been pressed, the electrode handle is faulty.
If damaged, do not use this product!

Connect up the product and select unit settings
1. Switch on the VIO electrosurgical unit and select the basic
program.
2. Insert the electrode handle plug into the multi-functional re-
ceptacle of the VIO HF surgical unit.
The VIO HF surgical unit must report that an instrument has
been connected and switch automatically to the multi-func-
tional receptacle's CUT and COAG settings.
3. The instrument detection automatically engages suitable
modes and standard values on the VIO HF surgical unit for
the effect and performance of the inserted handle. These
settings can be changed if required.
