4.1

Location of interfaces

The Versatronic has a RS422/485 interface (COM 1 on the base unit) as standard.
This is designed for transmission using the Modbus protocol (slave) or for connecting
Versatronic digiLine master devices.
Optionally, an additional RS422/485 or PROFIBUS-DP interface can be retrofitted in the
COM 2 expansion slot and an Ethernet interface in the LAN slot.
The following optional boards are available:
n Serial interface RS422/485 for Modbus RTU or Versatronic digiLine
(part no. 00581172)
PROFIBUS-DP (part no. 00581173)
n
n Ethernet (part no. 00581174)
Both serial interfaces can be operated with the Modbus protocol (Modbus RTU, slave) or
Versatronic digiLine.
NOTICE!
The type designation on the nameplate of the device indicates the optional
interfaces that were factoryassembled. The relevant information can be
found in the chapter entitled " 'Identifying device version' " in operating
manual B 202581.0 or the installation instructions B 202581.4
(the installation instructions are included in the scope of delivery).
Optional interfaces can also be added by the user. Information regarding
this can be found in the 'Retrofitting optional boards' section in the
operating manual B 202581.0 or the installation instructions B 202581.4
(the installation instructions are included in the scope of delivery of the
device).
