7.4.1 Installing the cylinder valve unit in a system

Let the cylinder valve unit acclimatize for several hours before
installation to prevent water from condensing in the housing.
Proceed as follows:
1. Check that the cylinder valve unit matches your order using the
part number printed on the housing.
2. Make sure that all relevant system parts are not under
pressure or voltage before you install the cylinder valve unit.
Protect the system against being switched on.
3. Make sure that the surfaces on the cylinder valve unit are
clean. Clean any dirty surfaces before installing the cylinder
valve unit.
4. You can find the exact dimensions of the mountings for your
cylinder valve unit in the product catalog at

Depending on your configuration, you can mount the product
in different ways. The delivery contents only include the
mounting you selected in the configurator.
5. Install the cylinder valve unit in your system component so that
the following connections and operating devices are always
accessible:
– pneumatic connections
– throttle screws for cushioning (if present)
– manual override (if present)
6. Mount the cylinder valve unit to your system using suitable
cylinder mountings.
