With coils and sensors

Without coils and sensors, the cylinder valve unit is a mechanical
device and complies with mechanical explosion protection
requirements.
You can use the cylinder valve unit with coils and sensors as
follows:
within zone 2 (category 3 G) – gas explosion protection
within zone 22 (category 3 D) – dust explosion protection
If you are using a configuration with electric devices (coils,
sensors), the declarations of conformity for these devices also
apply (see Table 1 on page 45).
Make sure that the compressed air is only generated and
prepared outside the explosive area.
Always observe the technical data and limits indicated on the
rating plate, particularly the information from the ATEX
identification.

5.1.1 ATEX identification

The mechanical identification of the cylinder valve unit depends on
your selected configuration.
ATEX identification for a cylinder valve unit without additional
electrical devices:
II 2G c IIB T4
II 2D c IP65 T135 °C X
-10 °C ≤ Ta ≤ 50 °C
ATEX identification for a cylinder valve unit that can be expanded
by electrical devices:

II 3G c IIB T4
II 3D c IP65 T135 °C X
-10 °C ≤ Ta ≤ 50 °C
The cylinder valve unit fulfills the requirements specified in the
current ATEX directive (see attached declaration of conformity).
Characteristics and usage zones that are derived from the ATEX ID
are explained in Table 5:
