About this chapter

The product has been manufactured according to the accepted
rules of current technology. Even so, there is risk of injury and
damage to equipment if the following chapter and safety
instructions of this documentation are not followed.
Read these instructions completely before working with the
product.
Keep this documentation in a location where it is accessible to
all users at all times.
Always include the documentation when you pass the product
on to third parties.

Intended use

This product is a pneumatic systems component consisting of a
cylinder and a valve that are connected as a cylinder valve unit.
The product may be used as follows:
to transport masses and transfer forces
in an explosion protection zone in accordance with the ATEX ID
(see section 5.1.1)
together with individual devices that are approved for
explosion protection zones (see Table 1 on page 45)
The product is intended for professional use only.
Intended use includes having read and understood this
documentation, especially the section "Notes on Safety".
In addition to this documentation, observe the information in
the operating instructions for the individual devices (see Table
1 on page 45).
Also observe the operating conditions and limits imprinted on
the individual devices or stated on their rating plates.
